Hello to everybody! I thought that it would be nice to have such a forum, since things started to move little by little...
My name is Sergey, I live in Petah-Tiqwa, and I am interested in a Go glub here in PT as well. I think once a week with an option to cancel would be nice. I can't attend on Tuesday. On Friday I am free at 1630. All the other days are fine, including Saturday, but I think no one would like Saturday.
I am going to send a link to this page to all of my fellow go players, and I am asking you to do the same if you live here in PT.

Hi!
I can attend on Friday at 16:30 and later. But I'm not sure whether Beit Ole (בית עולה) will be open at this time. (Yes, most likely it will be a place of the club meetings.) I can attend on Thursday as well, but only after 15:30. On Sunday-Wednesday I’m busy with school and preparation to the bagrut exams (Until 10/7, though. After that I'm free ^^). Saturday isn't a good idea: There’re no activities in Beit Ole on Saturday, for sure. Well... One more thing I'd like to remark: I won't be able to come to the meetings until I pass my physics exam (bagrut). It's on 4/6. BUT I've already talked to the person in charge of the place organization and I hope he will find something for us. So the meeting can be organized earlier. Oh, btw... My mom can publish in a newspaper an advertisement for our club, so we can find new members! Ok, that's it.
You can suggest here an appropriate for you time and we will come to a compromise.

Good job posting here soon guys! I hope the people I know will post here soon. Even if they don't, we will need to meet before in some park or something, to have a nice forum. I was thinking about today, but it is too late now maybe.. But I still may meet someone so check your email once in a while.
About the time of the actual club meetings... Eliran, I understand that the time you gave us is the time you can attend the club at? Problem is that I can't attend on thursday... But we'll figure something out... Friday, maybe... In the end, we have to concider the possibility that it won't be Beit-Ole... Though it is the best option I can see right now.

Ok I have talked to two of my friends. We may see their messages here soon. One of them - Alex - is home at thursday and wednesday of the next week. Week after that he is home on weekend I think. Ilya is home usually (but not always) on weekends. So the first day that is good to us three is Saturday in two weeks.
I am talking about a meeting in order to discuss our next moves. Not official club meeting if you'd like :) Go boards might be brought, imo...
I think we might meet before that, say next Sat? What do you say Marianna? Eliran?
Oh btw great work on gathering info about Beit Ole and the newspaper! Gather more info, I will see if I can find something...

Great! One small thing: please sign your posts. (using --~~~~) You can use "Show preview" butto to see what it looks like before actually posting it. And post using the small "+" to the right of "Edit", this is not that crucial, though. The important thing is that yo sign and we know who posted it. It's a pain to look into history every time :)

First informal informal meeting
There is one more meeting time. Wednesday, the 28 May, at 19:00. I will meet Alex, whom I have not seen for some time.
This will be before this saturday meeting, and anyone who can come is wellcome. We need to start meeting if we want this thing rolling.
If someone wants to attend, please write here. Yes, the meeting is two days from now. If someone else is coming, we meet near the Kanyon Gadol Mall, in the nice park. (Kids: don't meet unknown individuals from the internets at dark places!) If noone else will be willing to attend, we will meet at one of ours appartments.

Good question. I was thinking about 18:00 in the park near the Kanyon Gadol Mall. The park is big, so I suggest we meet inside the park near the Jabotinski-Kaplan Junction entrance, inside the park. Here is a link to the exact location on the map. If somebody has a better idea for a place, then talk. Are you going to be there, Eliran? I will be there at 18:00 exactly. Hope to see you there.

Kanyon Sirkin Mall is fine, but you will have to reply now. We will be at Moshe Tavori - Eliezer Fridman junction at 18:45. Here is a map. I will be wearing short pants and holding a square packet with the board inside. I guess we will enter the mall and play there if we'd like.
Please reply this message now, so that I can know that you are coming. I don't think anyone else except my friend will come.

Hello there to everyone! I am suggesting to meet on Friday, the 5/6 at (or after) 17:30 or on Saturday, the 6/6 at (or after) 12:00. We will meet either at the Kanyon Gadol or the Kanyon Sirkin. Maps are available here and here.

Hi, people. Seems like I am missing all the fun :P
I think I will be able to meet you tomorrow (it is tomorrow, isn't it?). I won't be able to stay long (only about half an hour), but I think that will be enough to discuss the main things. Btw, it would be preferable if the meeting would be moved to 13:00. Can it be done?

First informal meeting gone OK.
I am happy to announce that the first informal meeting of the club has been a success. We were three people, we exchanged infos. And some lessons were learned. (Edit by Eddie: And some people got burned on one hand... :D )
First of all, anyone interested in a club:

Eliran - the [at] should be written as @ (and no spaces before or after it) - it is just a way to write a mail in the net and save yourself from spambots (or other bots :) )

Second informal meeting. First formal meeting
The first informal meeting was fine, now we plan on meeting for the second time. We will hold the meeting this Saturday at 12:00.
